Inspired by a plein air sketch I made in crayon on drawing paper in our backyard along the run. This painting is a new addition to my Dillsburg series in my body of work featuring South Central Pennsylvania.

This painting was fun to create with the dark pines and white highlights of the picket fence, back porch and wildflowers. I even caught a good sense of sun light on a hot summer June day.
