"Fort Hunter Sunshine" by Larry Lerew

Yesterday I sketched and painted at Fort Hunter, just north of Harrisburg, PA. Being a warm day in March was wonderful since the winter trees were still devoid of foliage and I could see around them and the structure of the trees themselves. The light was fantastic so I sketched from the bridge and the front of the large barn to capture the view of buildings and later the mansion across the street. I enjoyed this painting with its pencil contour lines and muted colors. I like pencil lines to show in a watercolor. The sunshine was wonderful and much appreciated after experiencing recent eye surgeries.
