Strasburg Railroad Value Study Artist Sketch by Larry Lerew 171202
We visited the Strasburg Railroad to ride the Santa Train in December and when leaving, this scene caught my eye, so I took a couple snaps to help my memory later. This scene has been working on me ever since. Here is a value sketch of light, mid tone and dark shapes designed and worked around to make a better painting. Not sure I'm there yet, want to keep working on this idea, which may turn into a series of paintings and drawings.
