This painting was drawn en plein air from my truck cab on busy Rt. 94 just south of town in York Springs, Pennsylvania. I drew the crayon shapes and tones in place but left the tree tops unfinished to complete back at the studio. The truck traffic was so worrisome I didn't want to stay parked along the road for long. I love these mature trees and mature houses and how they sit into the landscape.
