This was so strange. As I was sketching I notice things, that's why I'd rather sketch than take photos to work from. This was a very red painting, even the plants growing under the fire escape where red. I tried to keep the top of the painting light since the sun was hitting it and the bottom darker to indicate shadows. There is a drive-thru banking lane just to the right of this with a signal light giving the the painting the only spot of green. Fun painting to create and interpret.
