When the sky gets dark, rain is on its way and sometimes all day in April. That's Pennsylvania and we enjoy the Spring rains which starts the growing season. I had some fun working with the wax crayon on this heavy paper and even did some razor blade scratches. The clouds were interesting to create with the wax resist. There's not any detail to this painting but I still get the feel of the place as I sketched it from across the battlefield at the Pennsylvania Monument.
