Traffic Police by Larry Lerew #160617

"Traffic Police by Larry Lerew #160617"
14x11 in
We all need some order to bring us out of chaos. I was once painting the traffic police during a quick draw competition at a plein air event and made a few pages of sketches in my sketchbook. Today I remember the fun I had that day painting the police on site live under two hours and even selling the painting off my easel.
This painting is a new work of art using my previous sketches and memory. I love the flow of movement in the figures as they would change positions to direct traffic and assist people crossing the street.Larry

Spring Pea Pods and Peas by Larry Lerew

My wife just shelled our first pint of peas from the garden this morning and they taste so sweet after waiting a year.

Gettysburg Rose Farm by Larry Lerew

Gettysburg Rose Farm by Larry Lerew
6" x 6" Acrylic on Watercolor Paper

The Rose Farm on the Gettysburg Battlefield is always beautiful to see. I'm always struck by the open land and fields around the farm I presume kept up by the National Park Service. My eye always goes to a single evergreen growing on the farm that is twice the height of the house and very narrow. It reminds me of the many civil war monuments placed all around the park.
