Stopped in at Picklefest 2016, Dillsburg, PA this morning and had fun with a few sketches. There were reenactors everywhere and a steel band playing. Beautiful morning! I think some of my sketches will deserve more development in the studio and perhaps be great reference for a future painting. After a half dozen sketches I warmed up and the guy playing the bass drums was getting interesting with looking one way and playing in the other direction in the round. The broom maker was interesting how he fit into his work station and the easy movements he was making. Only spent a few minutes on each sketch but that's all I wanted to spend to capture the feel of the event.
