Loose Sketching In December by Larry Lerew

Went out Loose Sketching today and first stopped in Dillsburg along Balitimore Street. Busy day, lots of traffic, mailed a painting and bought some Christmas stamps. This sketch of Dill Tavern was drawn with a tooth pick in a holder and dipped in ink. I liked the dry texture and free flow. The second stop was past Brandtsville along Creek Road at the corner of Kuhn and Creek Roads in Cumberland County. I liked this Loose Sketch made with a ink brush pen and the dry brush effect I got on the rough finish paper. This sycamore tree has always been a favorite of mine since I first sketched it in the early 1970's. It must be the biggest tree in my area.
