Here's a simple beauty. I left the watercolor paint itself. Believe me it doesn't always go this well.

"Ice Cream Factory" by Larry Lerew

I revisited my past from old sketches and personal photos to make this new painting of Rakestraws' Ice Cream in Mechanicsburg, PA. The building has changed today so the smoke stack, tower and whole second floor are gone but I needed to create this memory from the 70's as it was on a warm Sunday afternoon.

"Three Stories At Harper's Ferry" by Larry Lerew

"Three Stories At Harper's Ferry"
9.5 x 7.5" Mixed Watermedia on Watercolor Paper

Here's a fresh look at an old town, Harper's Ferry, WV. Had some fun painting this in my warm studio yesterday from a couple of old pencil sketches I made on location years ago. My sketchbooks are full of special moments and marks that have meaning to me alone. They bring back fond memories of visiting this busy 19th century town with its beautiful rock and brick three story buildings perched on the cliffs overlooking the Potomac River.
